Potential NEW client? Because all of our canine guests play together as a group and are in close contact with our family, the following requirements need to be met in order to attend our dog camp:
Responds to basic commands and house-trained (pups are an exception).
No history of aggression with humans
Social with other dogs (or passive) – but NOT aggressive.
If your dog has been bitten, pinned or attacked by another dog its important that we know, so we can schedule an exclusive assessment.
Health: Cannot be carrying any contagious infection or parasite.
Vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP or DAP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough). Titers and formal alternatives may be accepted.
Neutered/ Spayed: Every dog must be neutered or spayed before sexual maturity.
Ticks & Fleas: Your dog must be on a flea program (between late April and October) and not have fleas. Flea collars are not acceptable substitutes. We will consider Homeopathic/ Herbal tinctures prescribed by an alternative vet.
Hygiene/ Grooming: Nails trimmed (especially if your dog likes to jump up), coat not malodorous. Do not bring your dog here if freshly SKUNKED, instead advise us and book a visit with your groomer and we will see you the following morning.
Separation Anxiety: If your dog is known to become highly stressed/ anxious in your absence, then a home based care facility may be more appropriate for their well being.
Attend & Pass our Behaviour Assessment: your dog must demonstrate that they are social with strange dogs and not fearful (shy, timid and cautious are OK), and are reasonably obedient.
Please e-mail us the following information: your dogs name, their breed (please be very specific especially if a cross breed), age, weight, date neutered/ spayed? current on vaccines, health status, last date boarded, how often per week socialized with canines off-leash, level of obedience, your desired day care days, your mobile/ home ph. number, your city/town and include a picture of your pal if you have one.
